Moz Local alternative for Google Business Profile agencies: ZeusSEO Gaia vs Moz Local

TL;DR
  • Pick ZeusSEO Gaia if your work is managing Google Business Profiles across many locations: posts, review replies, photos and profile edits from one dashboard, with a free trial and a connector that works with Claude.
  • Pick Moz Local if you want listings synced to a large directory network, a local grid rank tracker, or review replies on both Google and Facebook. Gaia has no grid tracker for customers and replies to Google reviews only.
  • Moz Local publishes three plan prices on its site and does not show a free trial on the pages we read. Gaia works on Google Business Profile only and does not build citations.

ZeusSEO Gaia is a good Moz Local alternative if your job is managing Google Business Profiles for many locations: posts, review replies, photos and profile edits from one dashboard, with published pricing, a free trial and a connector that works with Claude. Moz Local is the better pick if you want listings synced to a large directory network, a local grid rank tracker, or review replies on both Google and Facebook. Gaia has no grid rank tracking for customers, replies to Google reviews only, and does not build citations. Moz Local also posts to Facebook and, on its top plan, to Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. In short: choose Gaia for deep Google Business Profile work, and choose Moz Local for a broader local SEO toolkit.

Key takeaway

These two tools overlap on Google Business Profile, but they are built for different jobs. Moz Local is a local SEO suite that combines listings, reviews, social posting, rank tracking and reports. Gaia is a Google Business Profile management tool that goes deep on one platform.

How we compared

We are the team behind ZeusSEO, so we are biased, and you should check our sources. We read Moz Local's official product and pricing pages on October 21, 2026 and paraphrased what they say. Every Moz Local claim below links to the page it came from.

ZeusSEO facts come from our own product. We did not run side-by-side tests, and we do not show test results or customer stories on this page, because we have none to cite.

Note

Moz's pricing page has an FAQ whose answers we did not read, so we say nothing from it. Where Moz does not publish something on the two pages we read, we write "not published". It may exist; ask Moz. Features and prices can change, so check the Moz pages before you decide.

Gaia vs Moz Local, feature by feature

Key takeaway

On Google Business Profile day-to-day work, Gaia is built around it. On everything outside that, such as directory listings, Facebook, local grid rank tracking and review requests, Moz Local covers ground that Gaia does not.

Google Business Profile posts

In Gaia you can publish a post now or schedule it, edit queued posts, cancel, trash and restore them. Post types include Updates, Offers, Events and Alerts. You can copy a post to many locations, with an optional AI rewrite per location that uses Staters, our AI credits.

  • Bulk import. Load posts from a CSV or TXT file, then schedule them.
  • Recurring campaigns. Set a cadence and the posts run on schedule.
  • Calendar. See scheduled posts and photos across listings in month, timeline, board or list views.
  • Republish. Bulk republish posts that Google no longer shows.

Moz Local's product page describes a social calendar to plan, schedule and manage content across multiple locations, plus post templates. Its pricing page lists social posting to Google and Facebook on Preferred, and posting to Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok on Elite.

Review management

Gaia shows reviews for all locations in one feed. You can reply, edit a reply or delete a reply. AI drafts a reply in the client's voice, and you approve it before it posts; drafting uses Staters. Reviews labelled as spam are blocked unless you force them, and replies that fail go to a Queued tab and retry daily. You can also reply in bulk from a reviewed list and export your replies to a CSV.

Moz Local's product page says you can monitor and respond to reviews on multiple sites from one dashboard, with response templates, AI suggestions, alerts and response-time tracking. The pricing page shows that Lite includes review monitoring, while review responding on Google and Facebook, sentiment analysis and competitor analysis start at Preferred.

Where Moz Local is stronger

Moz Local can reply to reviews on Google and Facebook from one place, and it lists a Local Grid rank tracker on every plan. Gaia handles Google reviews only and has no grid rank tracking for customers. If you need review replies beyond Google, or you report on map pack rankings by location on a grid, Moz Local is the stronger fit.

Local grid rank tracking

This is a real gap on our side. Moz Local's pricing page lists Local Grid local map pack ranking, with interactive heatmaps, starting on its lowest plan. Gaia does not offer local grid rank tracking to customers today. It does show Search and Maps views, calls, website clicks and directions per location from Google's own data, but that is not the same as seeing where a business ranks across a map.

Listings and directories

Moz Local's product page says it keeps listings updated across search engines, online directories, social media, apps and data aggregators. Its pricing page lists a large directory network and data health analytics from the lowest plan.

Gaia does not do citation building or directory syndication. It does not manage Apple, Bing or Yelp listings. It manages Google Business Profile and nothing else. If directory coverage is your requirement, Gaia is not a replacement.

Profile editing and bulk work

Gaia edits the fields that matter on a Google profile for many locations at once, either now or on a future effective date:

  • Name, website, phone numbers, description, categories and hours, including special hours.
  • Attributes, services, place-action links and social links.
  • Photos uploaded to many listings now or scheduled for later.
  • One issue fixed across many profiles, profile details cloned to many locations, saved location templates, and new locations created.
  • Location groups, with an audit trail of every live write.

Moz Local describes keeping your business data consistent across its network and gaining insight into Google Business Profile performance. It does not describe the same range of bulk Google profile edits on the pages we read.

Reporting

Gaia's dashboard shows rating, review count, status, Search and Maps views, calls, website clicks and directions for each location. Client-facing reports are built in Daedalus, our reporting product, which is separate from Gaia.

Moz Local's product page mentions a library of report templates and custom reports for clients, and notes that some features are limited to specific packages. Its pricing page lists a reporting suite for leads, reviews, social and custom reporting on Elite.

AI and the Claude connector

ZeusSEO has a connector that works with Claude, so you can ask your own Claude chat to publish a post, schedule one, draft a reply or read your Google data. The connector has about 200 tools covering profiles, posts, reviews, photos, groups, Search Console, Google Analytics, reports and keywords. It is free on every plan and pack, and the chat runs on your own Claude subscription. A few tools that call live research or spend AI credits state their cost before they run.

Moz Local describes AI suggestions for review responses and sells Listings AI and Reviews AI as add-ons. We found no Claude connector described on the Moz pages we read.

Pricing and free trial

Key takeaway

Both vendors show their prices. Moz Local lists three plans with a monthly price for each. ZeusSEO sells packs with a free trial on every pack, and we did not see a free trial on the Moz pages we read.

See current ZeusSEO prices on the pricing page. Gaia sits in the Local SEO Pack, which includes 50 locations, 3 sites and 5 seats. AI actions such as drafting replies spend Staters, which you buy separately as one-time packs. The packs themselves include no Staters.

Moz Local's pricing page shows yearly billing by default, with a toggle for monthly billing and a note that paying yearly saves 20%. The three plans are:

  • Lite: $16 a month, $199 billed yearly. Includes Local Grid, a large directory network, review monitoring and data health analytics.
  • Preferred: $24 a month, $299 billed yearly, marked most popular. Adds review responding on Google and Facebook, sentiment analysis, social posting to Google and Facebook, social analytics, content and post libraries, competitor analysis and agency permissions.
  • Elite: $33 a month, $399 billed yearly. Adds Listings AI, posting to Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, Facebook ad boosting, social responding to linked inboxes and a reporting suite.

Listings AI is also sold as an add-on at $119 a year, and Reviews AI at $69 a year for Preferred and Elite. For locations beyond the standard plans, Moz shows a custom plan for 50+ locations. We could not confirm from the pages we read whether these prices are per location, so confirm that with Moz before you budget for a multi-location account. Moz does not show a free trial on the pages we read.

Agencies and white label

Moz Local's pricing page lists agency permissions on Preferred and above, and its product page mentions custom reports for clients. We found no white-label option described on the pages we read, so ask Moz if branded reports or a branded login matter to you.

ZeusSEO is designed with agencies in mind: location groups, client groups, bulk actions and a Claude connector that works across all of them. White label is not part of Gaia. Client reporting is a separate Reports Package, so see the Daedalus page if client-facing reports matter to you.

Which one should you pick?

Key takeaway

Choose by the job. Google Business Profile at scale, with Claude in the loop: Gaia. Listings, Facebook, review replies beyond Google and grid rank tracking in one suite: Moz Local.

Choose Gaia if

  • Your clients win or lose on Google Business Profile and Google Maps.
  • You want to schedule posts, reply to reviews and edit profile details for many locations from one place.
  • You want to try the product before you buy.
  • You want to run your Google work through Claude.

Choose Moz Local if

  • You want your listings kept in sync across a large directory network, not only Google.
  • You need a local grid rank tracker with map pack heatmaps.
  • You reply to reviews on both Google and Facebook, or post to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok from the same tool.
  • You want one suite where Google Business Profile editing is one part of a wider local SEO toolkit.

Some teams will use both: a local SEO suite for listings and rankings, and a profile management tool for daily Google work. If you do, decide which tool owns each field, because both can write to the same Google profile. For other matchups, see how Gaia compares with BrightLocal, Whitespark, Synup and LocalViking.

Switching from Moz Local to Gaia

There is no one-click migration, and we do not claim one. A cautious path looks like this:

  1. Check your Moz Local term. Yearly billing is the default on its pricing page, so find your renewal date before you plan the change.
  2. Record your current profile data. Export hours, categories, phones and descriptions from Moz and from Google so you have a reference.
  3. Connect your Google profiles to Gaia. Start a free trial and bring in a small group of locations first.
  4. Decide what happens to listings and rankings. Gaia will not keep directory listings current, and it has no grid rank tracker. Ask Moz what happens to your listings when you cancel, because we did not find a published answer.
  5. Move the rest in stages. Once posts and replies run the way you want, expand to more groups.
