LocalViking alternative for Google Business Profile agencies: ZeusSEO Gaia vs LocalViking

TL;DR
  • Pick ZeusSEO Gaia if you want Google Business Profile posts, review replies, photos and profile edits in one pack with a free trial, plus a connector that lets your own Claude chat publish, schedule and reply.
  • Pick LocalViking if you need local grid rank tracking, white label reports, call tracking or the lowest published entry price. Gaia does none of those, and LocalViking publishes five public plans.
  • Neither tool builds citations. LocalViking states it does not work with citations, and Gaia covers Google Business Profile only.

ZeusSEO Gaia is a good LocalViking alternative if your main job is running Google Business Profiles for many locations: posts, review replies, photos and profile edits from one dashboard, sold in one pack with a free trial, and operated through Claude if you like. LocalViking is the better pick if you need local grid rank tracking, white label reports, call tracking or a low public price, since it lists plans from a single listing upward. Gaia has no rank tracking and no white label. Neither product builds citations. In short: choose Gaia for daily Google profile work with AI drafting and a Claude connector, and choose LocalViking when rankings, grids and branded client reporting are the core of your service.

LocalViking alternative: Gaia vs LocalViking at a glance

Key takeaway

These two tools overlap a lot on Google Business Profile management. LocalViking adds local grid rank tracking, white label reporting and call tracking on top. Gaia stays on Google profile work and adds AI drafting and a connector for Claude.

Note

LocalViking runs its marketing site at localviking.com, while its pricing page and help docs sit on app.localoptics.com under the name LocalOptics. We could not find a page announcing a rebrand, so this page uses the name LocalViking and cites both addresses.

How we compared

We are the team behind ZeusSEO, so we are biased, and you should check our sources. We read LocalViking's official pages and help docs on October 21, 2026 and paraphrased what they say. Every LocalViking claim below links to the page it came from.

ZeusSEO facts come from our own product. We did not run side-by-side tests, and we do not show test results or customer stories on this page, because we have none to cite.

Note

LocalViking's pricing page loads with JavaScript, so we read it in a browser. Where LocalViking does not publish something on the pages we read, we say "not published". It may exist; ask LocalViking. Its prices change over time, so confirm them on its pricing page before you decide.

Gaia vs LocalViking, feature by feature

Key takeaway

On Google Business Profile basics such as scheduling posts, replying to reviews and editing profiles, both tools cover the work. LocalViking goes further on rank grids, white label and call tracking. Gaia goes further on AI drafting and Claude.

Google Business Profile posts

In Gaia you can publish a post now or schedule it, edit queued posts, cancel, trash and restore them. Post types include Updates, Offers, Events and Alerts. You can copy a post to many locations, with an optional AI rewrite per location that uses Staters, our AI credits.

  • Bulk import. Load posts from a CSV or TXT file, then schedule them.
  • Recurring campaigns. Set a cadence and the posts run on schedule.
  • Calendar. See scheduled posts and photos across listings in month, timeline, board or list views.
  • Republish. Bulk republish posts that Google no longer shows.

LocalViking covers the same ground. Its Google posts page describes scheduling in advance, recurring posts and bulk posting, and every plan on its pricing page lists unlimited posts. Its multi-location posts guide adds per-location text variables, and a CSV upload guide tracks status for each row. Its roadmap lists an AI post writing assistant as still pending (roadmap).

Profile management and photos

Gaia edits the fields that matter on a Google profile for many locations at once, either now or on a future effective date:

  • Name, website, phone numbers, description, categories and hours, including special hours.
  • Attributes, services, place-action links and social links.
  • Photos uploaded to many listings now or scheduled for later.
  • One issue fixed across many profiles, profile details cloned to many locations, saved location templates, and new locations created.
  • Location groups, with an audit trail of every live write.

LocalViking's location editor covers name, address, categories, service area and hours, and warns when an edit may trigger re-verification. It also offers a multi-location media upload with scheduling. Whether it can bulk edit a field across many locations at once is not clearly published on the pages we read.

Where LocalViking is stronger

LocalViking keeps a change log of every listing change, including edits made by Google, with before and after values, and can notify you by email or text. Gaia logs every live write made through ZeusSEO, but we do not claim to track edits made by Google or other managers. LocalViking also offers an audit report that scans a profile against five competitors.

Review management and AI

Gaia shows reviews for all locations in one feed. You can reply, edit a reply or delete a reply. AI drafts a reply in the client's voice, and you approve it before it posts; drafting uses Staters. Reviews labelled as spam are blocked unless you force them, and replies that fail go to a Queued tab and retry daily. You can also post replies in bulk from a reviewed list and export replies to a CSV.

LocalViking has a reviews dashboard that shows every Google review across locations in one stream, with reply, edit and delete. Its review management page adds response templates and email or text alerts for new reviews. Its roadmap lists AI replies and an Autopilot mode for replies as released.

The AI cost model differs. LocalViking runs AI replies on your own OpenAI key, so you pay OpenAI directly. In Gaia, AI actions spend Staters, which you buy separately as one-time packs. We found no fully automatic reply mode in Gaia; AI drafts and you approve.

Neither tool is a review generation platform on the pages we read. Gaia gives you the Google review link for each listing and nothing more. LocalViking's review page says the same kind of link is available, and we could not confirm a built-in review request tool.

Citations and listings

LocalViking says on its listing management page that it does not work with citations. Gaia does not do citation building or directory syndication either, and it does not manage Apple, Bing or Yelp listings. If citations are a requirement, neither is the answer, and see how Gaia compares with Whitespark or Yext.

Rank tracking and local grids

This is the biggest difference. LocalViking's rank tracker follows keywords in the Maps pack and in organic desktop and mobile results, refreshed from every 48 hours to monthly. Its scheduled local grids run daily, weekly or monthly, with trend charts and public branded reports that need no login. Grids as large as 13 by 13 appear in its credit examples.

Gaia has no rank tracking or grid scans available to customers today. If local grids are central to what you sell, LocalViking is the stronger choice.

Reporting

Gaia's dashboard shows rating, review count, status, Search and Maps views, calls, website clicks and directions for each location. Client-facing reports are built in Daedalus, our reporting product, which is separate from Gaia.

LocalViking's reports cover calls, website clicks, direction requests, impressions, device split and keyword results, delivered by email on a weekly or monthly schedule or as a public link. Its marketing page also lists a PDF download, but the help guide does not mention it, so confirm before relying on it (reporting page). Its multi-location analytics dashboard compares locations across Google profiles, Search Console and Google Analytics, and a Looker Studio connector lets you build your own dashboards. Whether the analytics dashboard costs extra is not published.

The Claude connector

ZeusSEO has a connector that works with Claude, so you can ask your own Claude chat to publish a post, schedule one, draft a reply or read your Google data. The connector has about 200 tools covering profiles, posts, reviews, photos, groups, Search Console, Google Analytics, reports and keywords. It is free on every plan and pack, and the chat runs on your own Claude subscription. A few tools that call live research or spend AI credits state their cost before they run.

LocalViking has one too. Its MCP guide describes using ordinary Claude chats to fetch LocalViking data. It reads as oriented to fetching data. We could not confirm whether it can take actions such as posting, or which plans include it, so ask LocalViking if that matters. It also publishes a public API and webhooks (docs index).

Pricing and free trial

Key takeaway

LocalViking publishes a clear price ladder with a low entry point, but its rank tracking runs on monthly credits. ZeusSEO sells Gaia inside one pack with a free trial on every pack.

See current ZeusSEO prices on the pricing page. Gaia sits in the Local SEO Pack, which includes 50 locations, 3 sites and 5 seats, with add-ons for more capacity. AI actions such as drafting replies spend Staters, which you buy separately. The packs themselves include no Staters.

LocalViking's pricing page lists these monthly plans in US dollars as of October 21, 2026. Every plan includes unlimited posts and unlimited connected accounts:

  • Single: $39 a month for 1 listing.
  • Starter: $59 a month for 10 listings.
  • Pro: $99 a month for 20 listings, with white label reporting and the GeoGrid widget.
  • Agency: $149 a month for 40 listings, with white label reporting and the GeoGrid widget.
  • Top plan: $200 a month for 70 listings, with the same white label and widget features. Above 70 locations, it asks you to get in touch for a custom plan for larger accounts.

By our own arithmetic from those numbers, the cost per listing at full capacity falls from about $5.90 on Starter to about $2.86 on the top plan. That is our calculation, not a figure LocalViking states.

Rank tracking is metered. Each plan includes monthly keyword credits and grid credits. Keyword credits do not roll over, grid credits do, and each grid point costs one credit, so a 9 by 9 grid costs 81 (credit rules). Top-up prices are not published.

On trials, we found none announced on LocalViking's pricing page. It offers a forty-five-minute walkthrough demo instead (demo page). Annual billing and contract terms are not published on the pages we read.

Agencies and white label

This is a real gap on our side. LocalViking includes white label reporting from the Pro plan, with no separate fee listed on its pricing page. Its white label settings cover logo, favicon, colors, email sender, contact details and a custom domain for reports, audits, grids and widgets, with several configurations for different clients.

White label is not part of Gaia. Client reporting is a separate Reports Package, so see the Daedalus page if client-facing reports matter to you.

For team access, LocalViking has four roles (owner, admin, member and viewer), and members and viewers can be limited to certain locations by tag or list, which suits franchisees or client contacts (team members). The number of users per plan is not published. ZeusSEO is designed with agencies in mind: location groups, client groups, bulk actions and a Claude connector that works across all of them, with 5 seats in the Local SEO Pack.

LocalViking also lists call tracking, integrations such as Zapier, ServiceTitan and CompanyCam, and a done-for-you managed Google profile service. Gaia has none of these.

Which one should you pick?

Key takeaway

Choose by the job. Google Business Profile work with AI help and Claude in one pack: Gaia. Local grids, white label reports and call tracking at a low entry price: LocalViking.

Choose Gaia if

  • Your clients win or lose on Google Business Profile and Google Maps.
  • You want to schedule posts, reply to reviews and edit profile details for many locations from one place.
  • You want a free trial and one pack rather than a plan ladder with credits.
  • You want to run your Google work through Claude, including actions, not only reading data.

Choose LocalViking if

  • You need local rank tracking or grid scans, and you sell them to clients.
  • You need white label reports with your own domain today.
  • You need call tracking, a public API or webhooks.
  • You want the lowest published entry price, including a plan for a single listing.
  • You want to use your own OpenAI key for AI replies instead of buying credits.

Some teams will use both: LocalViking for grids and branded reporting, and Gaia for daily Google work. If you do, decide which tool owns each profile field, because both can write to the same Google profile. If you are weighing more options, see how BrightLocal, Whitespark and Gaia compare.

Switching from LocalViking to Gaia

There is no one-click migration, and we do not claim one. A cautious path looks like this:

  1. List what you use in LocalViking. Posting, reviews, grids, call tracking and white label reports are different jobs, so write down which ones you rely on.
  2. Decide what Gaia replaces. Gaia covers Google profile management and Google review replies. It does not replace rank tracking, grids, white label reports or call tracking.
  3. Record your current profile data. Export hours, categories, phones and descriptions so you have a reference.
  4. Connect your Google profiles to Gaia. Start a free trial and bring in a small group of locations first.
  5. Keep the tools Gaia does not replace. Keep your grid and reporting tools running until you have chosen alternatives, and mind your keyword credits, which do not roll over.
