Birdeye vs Yext vs ZeusSEO Gaia: which one fits your Google Business Profile work?

TL;DR
  • Pick Birdeye for a broad customer-experience suite: review requests, webchat, listings on five major platforms and AI reporting, sold by quote.
  • Pick Yext when the main job is pushing consistent location data to 200+ publishers, with reviews and social as add-on products, also sold by quote.
  • Pick ZeusSEO Gaia when the work is Google Business Profile only (posts, review replies, listing edits across many locations) and you want published pricing and a free trial. It has no citation network.

In a Birdeye vs Yext decision, Birdeye is the better fit when you need review requests, webchat and a wide customer-experience suite, and Yext is the better fit when you need one source of truth pushed to 200+ publishers. Both sell by custom quote. ZeusSEO Gaia is the narrower option: it manages Google Business Profile only (posts, reviews, listing edits, photos, groups) across many locations, with prices published on the pricing page and a free trial. It does not build citations, send review requests, or manage Apple, Bing or Yelp listings. If you need those, Birdeye or Yext is the right tool, not Gaia.

Key takeaway

These are three different shapes of product. Birdeye is a customer-experience platform. Yext is a listings and knowledge platform. Gaia is a Google Business Profile workbench. Choose by the job you do every week, not by feature count.

Pricing and free trial

Key takeaway

Neither Birdeye nor Yext publishes prices or a standard free trial. You will talk to the vendor before you see a number. ZeusSEO publishes its prices.

Birdeye

Birdeye's pricing page hides figures behind a form with location bands, and its own article says pricing is custom and evaluated per location. It adds that annual agreements are typical and that cost per location is meant to fall as you add locations. Its pages offer a demo. We found no general free trial; its blog shows a Social-specific trial button whose terms we did not read.

Yext

Yext's own FAQ says pricing is custom, set by solution and by location count, with no public tiers. Billing is typically annual and multi-year commitments earn better rates. The same FAQ says there is no free tier and no standard free trial, so evaluation happens through a demo. It also says agencies have no distinct pricing model.

ZeusSEO Gaia

Gaia sits in the Local SEO Pack, which includes 50 locations, 3 sites and 5 seats, with extra locations, seats and sites available as add-ons. See current prices on the pricing page. AI actions (such as drafting a review reply) spend Staters, which are bought separately as one-time packs and are not included in the pack. The free trial is on the pricing page.

Google Business Profile posting and listing edits

Key takeaway

Birdeye documents a clear Google Business Profile posting flow. Yext's public pages describe bulk social posting but do not name Google posts on the page we read. Gaia is built around this one job.

Birdeye

A Birdeye support article walks through publishing Google Business Profile posts and Google offers from its Social tab, once the profile is connected. Birdeye also offers a Google Business Profile management page for building and maintaining profiles across locations. Its Social page describes a publishing agent where you approve posts one by one, in bulk, or let it publish.

Yext

Yext Social publishes localized posts for promotions, events and offers across locations, and drafts them with AI. That page does not say Google Business Profile posts by name, so ask for a demo of that exact flow. On the listings side, Yext's Google integration keeps location information consistent with Google and lets you respond to reviews from the platform.

ZeusSEO Gaia

Gaia lets you publish now or schedule posts (updates, offers, events, alerts), edit or cancel queued posts, copy a post to many locations with an optional AI rewrite per location, import posts in bulk from a CSV or text file, and run recurring post campaigns. It also edits listing details such as name, hours, phones, categories and services, can apply a change now or on a future date, and can fix one issue across many profiles at once. Photos can be uploaded to many listings now or scheduled. Every live Google write is logged.

Reviews: replies, requests and sources

Key takeaway

If you need to ask customers for reviews or watch non-Google sites, Gaia is not enough. Gaia replies to Google reviews well, but both Birdeye and Yext go further.

Birdeye says it gathers every rating and review from every site in one place, generates review requests on the channel most likely to get a response, and uses an AI agent that either posts replies itself or holds them for approval. It does not list the sites it supports on that page.

Yext says its review product tracks Google, Facebook, Yelp and 80+ industry sites, drafts AI replies that you approve, triggers requests by email, text or QR code, and runs sentiment analysis across locations.

ZeusSEO Gaia shows one review feed across all connected Google locations. You can reply, edit or delete a reply, and have the AI draft a reply from the review text in the client's saved voice (you approve the wording, and drafts spend Staters). Replies can be posted in bulk from a reviewed CSV, and reviews Google labels as spam are refused by default. Replies that fail are parked in a queue and retried. Gaia gives you Google's own review link per listing, but it does not send review requests by SMS or email and does not read reviews from Facebook, Yelp or other sites.

Note

For wording help, see our guide on how to respond to Google reviews.

Listings, messaging, reporting and AI

Listings and directories

Yext is the clear leader here: its Listings product claims 200+ direct publisher connections and a verifier that detects errors, duplicates and publisher overwrites. Birdeye describes native integrations with five platforms (Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing), with approval required by default. It does not publish a total directory count on that page. Gaia manages Google Business Profile only. It does not manage Apple, Bing, Yelp or Facebook listings and does not build citations.

Messaging and webchat

Birdeye offers webchat that feeds a shared inbox together with other channels, plus an AI chatbot that answers questions and captures leads. We did not research a comparable Yext product, and Gaia has no webchat or messaging inbox.

Reporting

Birdeye's Reports builds multi-location reports from a prompt and schedules recurring delivery from sources such as reviews, listings, social and inbox. Yext's listings page tracks impressions, clicks, calls and directions by publisher and location. We did not find native client-facing white-label reports on either vendor's pages. ZeusSEO reports live in a separate product, Daedalus, in the Reports Package: a drag-and-drop report builder with live widgets over Google Business Profile, Google Analytics 4 and Search Console data. It does not report on Google, Meta or TikTok Ads.

AI and the Claude connector

Birdeye brands its AI as BirdAI, with named agents for marketing, operations and customer experience, and lists a Birdeye MCP in its navigation (we did not review what it covers). Yext describes AI agents that monitor, respond to and request reviews, plus a knowledge graph positioned as an AI-ready source of truth. We found no Yext connector published. ZeusSEO offers a connector that works with Claude, free on every pack and plan, with about 200 tools across Google Business Profile, Search Console, Analytics, reports and clients. The chat runs on your own Claude subscription, and ZeusSEO actions such as publishing, scheduling and replying cost no Staters. Only a few tools, such as live keyword research, spend Staters, and each states its cost first.

Who each tool is best for

Key takeaway

Match the tool to the weekly job: customer experience (Birdeye), data distribution (Yext), or Google Business Profile operations (Gaia).

Where Birdeye is stronger

Birdeye covers review requests, reviews from many sites, webchat, an inbox and a reseller program with a dedicated partner success manager, which it says serves 750+ partnered agencies. If you want one platform for customer experience across locations, Birdeye does more than Gaia. Its reseller page offers white label or co-branded use.

Where Yext is stronger

Yext is the stronger choice when consistent data across 200+ publishers is the priority, or when you manage a very large number of locations (it claims updates to 10,000+ at once). Its reseller program also lists white-label options for agencies, though terms are not published.

Choose Birdeye if

  • You need review requests, webchat and reporting in one multi-location suite.
  • You are comfortable with a quote, an annual agreement and a demo-led evaluation.

Choose Yext if

  • Your main problem is inconsistent listing data across many directories.
  • You want a central data source feeding listings, reviews and social.

Choose ZeusSEO Gaia if

  • Your team spends its time in Google Business Profile: posting, replying, editing listings and photos for many locations.
  • You want published pricing, a free trial, and to run that work from Claude through the connector.
  • You already have, or do not need, a citation or review-request tool.

How we compared

We are the team behind ZeusSEO, so we are biased. To keep this fair, we read each vendor's official pages on October 20, 2026 (Birdeye and Yext site pages, FAQs and support articles) and wrote down only what they state. ZeusSEO facts come from our own product. We ran no tests of Birdeye or Yext and have no customer results to report.

  • Where a vendor page was unclear or blocked to us, we wrote "not published" or left the claim out.
  • Everything a vendor says about itself is a vendor claim, not something we measured.
  • Vendors change plans often. Check the linked pages and confirm details in a demo before you buy.
