The Google Business Profile MCP, post to every client listing from one chat

· Published · Última actualización

The Google Business Profile MCP is the ZeusSEO connector for Claude. Paste one link into your AI assistant and it can publish, schedule, edit, and review Google Business Profile posts across every client listing you manage, all from one chat.

You have twelve restaurant clients and one promo that needs to go out this week. Normally that is twelve trips through a post composer.

Instead, you open the chat window you already have open all day and type:

Post this week's promo to all twelve of my restaurant clients.

Your assistant reads your client list out of ZeusSEO, shows you exactly which twelve listings it matched and exactly what it is about to publish, waits for you to say go, and then publishes to Google. You never opened ZeusSEO.

That is what the ZeusSEO connector does. It is available on every plan, including the free trial.

Posting is only where it starts. Because there is one connector, the same link also opens your Search Console reporting and your Google Analytics insight in the same chat, and it does so without the Google API application you would normally file, the case laid out in Google API vs MCP.

What is the Google Business Profile MCP

The Google Business Profile MCP is the ZeusSEO connector exposed to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. You paste one link into Claude once, approve it, and your assistant can then see your Google Business Profile listings and publish, schedule, edit, and review posts across them. It is the single connector for everything ZeusSEO can do, not a separate GBP-only tool.

Connect it in 3 steps

Go to Claude

This link opens Claude's "Add custom connector" dialog directly:

Go to Claude

Prefer to navigate by hand? In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.

Paste the link, click Add, then Sign In / Register

Name it anything, ZeusSEO works, and paste this server URL. This is the only address you ever need, for everything ZeusSEO can do:

https://app.zeuseo.com/api/mcp

If you expand Advanced settings you will see OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret fields, leave both empty. ZeusSEO does not use one; the connection registers itself the moment you click Add.

The moment you click Add, Claude sends you straight to Google's own account picker, with no ZeusSEO screen in between. This is where you Sign In or Register: choose the Google account for the listings you want to manage, and if it is an account you have not used with ZeusSEO before, this same step registers it. You can stay signed into Claude with one email and pick a completely different Google account here; they do not need to match.

Turn on every permission

When Claude lists the tools this connector offers, switch all of them on, including the write tools (publish, schedule, edit), not only the read-only ones. Leaving the write tools off means your assistant can look at your listings but never post to them.

Open your ZeusSEO connector

Confirm it worked. Start a new chat and ask:

What Google Business Profile listings do I have in ZeusSEO?

If it comes back with your real client names, you are connected. If it says it cannot access that, open Troubleshooting below.

Key takeaways
  • There is one ZeusSEO connector URL for everything, and it is included on every plan, including the free trial.
  • Setup is three steps: open Claude, paste the link and click Add, then Sign In or Register with your Google account.
  • Publishing, scheduling, editing, and reviewing posts run on your own AI subscription, so they cost no Staters.
  • Write actions always ask you to confirm the exact text and the exact list of listings before anything reaches a client profile.
  • Your Google credentials never reach the AI assistant. Claude talks to ZeusSEO, and ZeusSEO talks to Google.

What you can do today, and what is coming

ZeusSEO keeps a clear line between what is live and what is next, so you never promise a client something the connector cannot yet do.

Available now

  • Publish, schedule, edit, and cancel Google Business Profile posts across the client listings you manage.
  • Review the quality of posts that are already live, free through your own assistant or paid through the ZeusSEO engine.
  • List your saved reports, scheduled report deliveries, and clients.

Coming to the same connector

  • Uploading photos to a listing's photo gallery, as opposed to attaching an image to a post.
  • ChatGPT support, using the same link and sign-in you already added.
  • Direct Search Console and Analytics reads inside chat.

The accordions below go deeper: the full tool list, exactly what the connector can and cannot do, and how the free and paid quality reviews differ.

What an MCP is

MCP is a standard way for a tool like ZeusSEO to hand a set of specific abilities to an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT, in this case, the ability to see your Google Business Profile listings and post to them. The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that Anthropic introduced in November 2024 (Model Context Protocol documentation, modelcontextprotocol.io).

You do not need to understand the standard to use it. You paste one web address into your assistant once, approve the connection, and from then on your assistant can do ZeusSEO work when you ask it to.

You connect ZeusSEO to your assistant once, with a single web address, https://app.zeuseo.com/api/mcp, and approve it. That one address is the whole connection: Google Business Profile posts are what it does today, and anything ZeusSEO opens up to your assistant later arrives at the same address, with nothing new to add.

What you get

Here are the tools you will use most, wired into the same ZeusSEO account and the same Google connection you already use:

ToolWhat it does
Find locationsTurns "the downtown taqueria" into the actual listing
List published postsShows what is already live on a listing
List scheduled postsShows the queue, pending, held, and failed
Publish a postPublishes now, to as many as 25 listings in one call
Schedule a postQueues a post for a future date and time
Edit a postChanges a post that is already published
Cancel a scheduled postPulls a post out of the queue before it goes out
Review post quality (free)Hands your posts and their images to your own assistant to critique
Run the ZeusSEO quality engineZeusSEO's own analysis, 1 Stater per post, up to 10

Two ways to check post quality

The two quality tools are worth understanding, because they cost different amounts.

Review post quality (free)

Review post quality is free. It pulls the posts and their images out of Google and hands them to the assistant you are already paying for. Claude or ChatGPT does the thinking. You are billed nothing by ZeusSEO because ZeusSEO did not run a model, you did.

The ZeusSEO quality engine (paid)

The ZeusSEO quality engine is the paid one. It runs ZeusSEO's own analysis server-side, using Claude plus Gemini vision, and charges 1 Stater per post, capped at 10 posts per call. Reach for it when you want the analysis done server-side rather than filling up your chat with images.

If you are not sure which you want, use the free one.

What it costs

Using the connector is free. It is included in every plan, the free tier, the trial, and every paid plan alike. There is no separate charge to use the MCP and no plan type that unlocks it over another. Whatever plan you are on, the connector is part of it.

Most of what it does costs you nothing beyond that, because your own assistant does the thinking. Publishing, scheduling, editing, canceling, and reviewing your listings all run on the Claude or ChatGPT subscription you are already paying for, ZeusSEO simply hands over the data and makes the Google call. None of that spends Staters.

The one exception is when you ask ZeusSEO's own AI to do the work instead of yours. Today the only tool that does this is the paid quality engine above: it runs ZeusSEO's own models, so it spends Staters, and it tells you the cost and asks you to confirm before it runs. Any future tool that uses ZeusSEO's AI will follow the same rule, our AI costs Staters, your AI does not.

Either way, every action is recorded. Open Credits → History in ZeusSEO and you will see each thing the connector did on your behalf: what it was, when it happened, and how many Staters it cost, including the ones that cost zero. Free does not mean invisible. The record is always there, so you know exactly what your assistant did in your account.

What you can ask for

These are real requests, not simplified examples. Type them the way you would say them.

Which of my listings have not had a post in the last 30 days?

Publish this to all my restaurant clients: "Happy hour is back, half-price appetizers, Tuesday through Thursday, 4 to 6pm." Show me the list of locations before you post it.

Schedule a Fourth of July post for the downtown location for July 1st at 9am, with a link to their reservations page.

Pull the last ten posts for Riverside Dental and tell me which ones are weak and why.

What is sitting in my publish queue right now, and is anything held or failed?

I made a typo in yesterday's post for the Oak Street location, it says "Thurdsay". Fix it.

Cancel the post scheduled for Saturday on the Westside listing. The client changed their mind.

Compare how the two clinic listings have been posting this quarter, who is more consistent, and whose posts actually have images?

The pattern that works best: ask it to show you the matched listings before it writes anything. It is built to do that, and it makes a mistake visible before it reaches a client's profile.

What it can and cannot do

It can:

  • Find your listings by business name or city and confirm which one it matched
  • Publish to as many as 25 listings in a single call
  • Schedule posts into the same queue ZeusSEO uses for posts you schedule by hand
  • Edit a post that is already live on Google
  • Cancel a queued post before it goes out
  • Show you the real state of the queue, including held and failed items
  • Review post quality, free through your own assistant or paid through the ZeusSEO engine
  • List your saved reports, scheduled report deliveries, and clients

It cannot, and here is where to set expectations:

Scheduled posts are not instant. Everything goes through a queue that drains every few minutes. When you say "publish now," you mean "submit now", the post reaches Google shortly after, not the same second.

Accepted by Google is not the same as live. Google reviews every post after it is submitted and can reject it minutes later. The connector reports the honest state and will tell you to check back rather than claiming a post is live when Google has not confirmed it. If your assistant tells you a post is definitely live the instant it submits, it is getting ahead of the facts.

Images have to already be online. A post can carry an image only if you give it a real, public https:// image URL that stays valid. Google downloads the image from its own servers, so a file on your desktop, a screenshot pasted into the chat, a private Drive link, or a temporary signed link will all fail. For a scheduled post, a link that expires before the publish date fails days later. Host the image somewhere permanent and public first, then use that link.

Uploading photos to a profile is not shipped. Adding photos to a listing's photo gallery, as opposed to attaching an image to a post, is coming. It does not work today.

It only touches posts. It does not edit business names, addresses, phone numbers, or hours. It does not reply to reviews or answer Q&A. It does not touch billing.

It only sees your account. It cannot see another ZeusSEO account, or any listing not connected to yours.

Safety and permissions

How your data and access stay protected

Your Google credentials never reach the AI assistant. This is the question everyone asks first, so here is the plain answer. Claude and ChatGPT talk to ZeusSEO. ZeusSEO talks to Google. Your Google access token stays on ZeusSEO's servers and is never included in anything sent back to the assistant, to Anthropic, or to OpenAI. The assistant asks ZeusSEO to publish something; ZeusSEO does the publishing.

Publishing goes to a real client's public profile. Treat it that way. Before you approve a publish, read two things: the exact text, and the exact list of listings. The tools are built to show you both, the write tools refuse to accept a business name and require a resolved listing ID specifically so that "the downtown location" can never quietly become the wrong client. If your assistant proposes a publish without naming the listings, do not approve it. Ask it to list them.

Write actions are flagged as sensitive. Publishing, scheduling, editing, and canceling are marked in a way that tells Claude and ChatGPT to stop and ask you before running them. You should see a confirmation prompt, not a silent action. The read tools are marked read-only and may run without asking, which is intentional, looking at your own posts is not a risk.

The paid quality engine also asks first. It is a read-only operation in the sense that it changes nothing, but it spends your Staters, so it is deliberately marked as an action that requires your confirmation rather than one the assistant can run on its own initiative.

What it never touches: your Google password, your ZeusSEO password, your billing details, or any other account's data. Even though your Google connection may include Search Console or Analytics permissions for other ZeusSEO features, the connector's tools are scoped to Business Profile posts.

How to revoke. Two independent switches, and you can use either:

  • From the assistant: Claude or ChatGPT, SettingsConnectors → remove ZeusSEO.
  • From ZeusSEO: Settings → the Claude & ChatGPT section → revoke the key for that assistant. Revoking from here cuts access immediately even if the assistant still shows the connector.

Revoking does not disconnect Google from ZeusSEO, and it does not remove posts that already went out. It stops future assistant-initiated actions.

Set up ChatGPT

ChatGPT support is coming, for now, the ZeusSEO connector launches on Claude only.

We are deliberately starting with one assistant so the security and the publishing flow are solid before we open it up. When ChatGPT is ready, it will use the same connection and the same URL you already added, there will be nothing new to set up. Check back here, or watch for the announcement inside ZeusSEO.

Troubleshooting

"It says it cannot see any of my listings."
The connector can only see what ZeusSEO already sees. Log in at app.zeuseo.com and confirm your clients' Google Business Profiles actually show up there. If ZeusSEO's own Google connection has expired, reconnect it there first, that is a separate connection from the one you just made to Claude, and fixing one does not fix the other.

"I scheduled a post and it never went live."
Check the queue first, ask your assistant what is in it, or look at the ZeusSEO calendar. Two real causes. The queue drains every few minutes, so a post scheduled for 9:00 may go out at 9:04. Or the post is held, which means your plan or trial has lapsed. Held is not failed: the post is saved and publishes automatically once your subscription resumes. To resume, see zeuseo.com/pricing.

"The image did not go through."
Almost always the URL. It must be a public https:// link to an image, reachable by Google's own servers, and still valid on the publish date. A local file, a chat attachment, a private Drive link, and an expiring signed URL all fail. Host the image publicly, then pass the link.

"It is asking me to reconnect."
Two different things look identical here. Either the connector's authorization expired or was revoked, in which case reconnect from your assistant's Connectors settings, or ZeusSEO's own Google connection expired, in which case log into app.zeuseo.com and follow the reconnect banner there. Check ZeusSEO first; if your listings are missing there too, it is the second one.

"It was about to post to the wrong clients."
Before it happens: do not approve a publish that does not name the listings. Ask it to list them, read the list, then approve. After it happens: the post can be edited or canceled. If it is still queued, ask your assistant to cancel it. If it already published, ask it to edit the post, that works on live posts.

"Can I use this with ChatGPT yet?"
Not yet, the connector launches on Claude first. When ChatGPT support ships it will use the same address you already added, with nothing new to set up.

Getting started

The connector is included on every ZeusSEO plan and during the free trial. There is nothing to enable and nothing extra to buy. Publishing and scheduling through it cost no Staters, because you are spending your own AI subscription, not ZeusSEO's. The only tool that costs Staters is the ZeusSEO quality engine, and it says so before it runs.

If you do not have an account yet, plans are at zeuseo.com/pricing.
